Hope is a fundamental human experience that serves as a powerful motivator, enabling
individuals to overcome challenges, and aspire for a better future. Here is an inspirational story of hope.
Shella May A. Lopera, 23, is from Norzagaray, Bulacan. She is currently navigating life with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Diagnosed at 18, Shella May has faced numerous challenges, including financial constraints. Despite her circumstances, she remains a source of joy and strength to her family, and refuses to let her medical condition limit or dim her ambition.
She helps at her mother’s weaving business, while her father and brother are construction workers. Although her illness forced her to withdraw from her initial studies in computer science, she is determined to pursue a degree in education, and become a teacher someday.
Shella May’s journey is a powerful testament to the human spirit and the importance of hope. We invite you to join us in solidarity, extending your thoughts and prayers for Shella May’s health and well-being, as well as for all members of the EPCALM Family facing similar battles.
We thank you for your continued support and shared hope.
