A night of goodness and kindness The Hope Gala 2026 on 17 May 2026 at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City was a resounding sold-out success! The benefit dinner-concert brought together philanthropists and renowned artists to raise vital funds for adult leukemia patients and their families. Here are some highlights from that “memorable night of goodness and kindness,” as described by EPCALM Ambassador, Boy Abunda. The concert was top-billed by Concert King, Martin Nievera, with Concert Queen, Pops Fernandez, Vina Morales, and Jed Madela. In this video, we witness a moving tribute where EPCALM-serviced patients serenaded Martin Nievera, and a surprise performance by America’s Got Talent champion, Jessica Sanchez.

QC Mayor hails EPCALM mission to help leukemia patients, families Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte recently commended the EPCALM Foundation for its mission and advocacy in supporting adult leukemia patients and their families. In a video message delivered during The Hope Gala 2026, Mayor Belmonte noted that for the past 21 years, EPCALM has “helped countless Filipinos face one of life’s most difficult battles with dignity and courage.” In this video, Mayor Belmonte, an Honorary Member of the EPCALM Board of Trustees highlighted the importance of the “communities of hope” built by EPCALM, to ensure that no one faces leukemia alone. She also recognized the vision of EPCALM Founder, Dr. Erlyn Cabanag-Demerre, for transforming personal loss into a lifelong mission of service. Messages of hope A highlight of The Hope Gala 2026 was the video presentation featuring heartfelt Messages of Hope from advocates and members of the EPCALM community. In one of the videos, singer-actor Michael V recalls losing a friend to adult leukemia, and encourages patients and families facing similar challenges to reach out to EPCALM for support. Also featured was leukemia survivor Dr. Mario Panaligan, who shared how EPCALM walked alongside him throughout his leukemia journey. Dr. Panaligan is the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Medical Center–Global City. He is a testament to the strength of hope, perseverance, and compassionate support.
