Health and Wellness Fair conducted, EPCALM partners with PH Marines to help meet blood needs of patients
The Voluntary Blood Donation Drive of the EPCALM Foundation highlighted the Health and Wellness Fair of the Philippine Marine Corps Supply Center (PMCSC) held yesterday, 28 September 2026, as part of the PMCSC’s 7th Activation Anniversary celebration.
Held at the PMC SNCO Clubhouse, Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, the Fair brought together PMC officers and enlisted personnel, civilian personnel, and partner organizations in an activity that celebrated not only the PMCSC milestone but also the spirit of service, solidarity, and care for others.
The PMCSC serves as a key logistics and sustainment arm supporting Marine operating forces. It was activated on 1 October 2019 as the PMC Supply Center/Supply Company and was formally renamed the PMC Supply Center in 2020.
Welcoming guests and participants was Lt. Col. Miguel B. Perez, PMCSC Commander, who presented EPCALM with a Plaque of Appreciation for conducting the blood donation drive, in collaboration with the St. Luke’s Medical Center–Global City Blood Bank and Transfusion Services.
A culture of service, solidarity. For EPCALM, the partnership with the Philippine Marines represents a shared commitment to responding to the urgent blood needs of leukemia patients and other patients whose lives may depend on timely access to safe blood and blood components.
Blood transfusions can be an essential part of care for many patients undergoing intensive treatment, making a reliable supply of donated blood a vital component of the healthcare system.
EPCALM commended the PMCSC for choosing to mark its anniversary through an activity that reaches beyond the organization, and directly benefits patients and communities in need. The willingness of Marine officers and personnel, as well as other participants, to give blood is a meaningful expression of the Marines’ culture of service and solidarity.
An inspirational collaboration. The Foundation hopes that this collaboration will inspire more members of the Marines, and the wider community to become regular voluntary blood donors, helping build a stronger and more dependable blood donor community for leukemia patients and others in need.
The Health and Wellness Fair also featured programs and services from other participating partners, including Eye Saver Optical, Philippine Academy of Acupuncture Inc., MX3 Coffee and Natural Supplements, Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II, Human Nature, the Office of the Marine Corps Surgeon, and the PMC Foundation Inc.
From protecting and serving communities to helping save lives through blood donation, the partnership between the Philippine Marines and EPCALM demonstrates that service knows no boundaries.
