"For where two or three gather in My Name,
there am I with them." — Matthew 18:20

For many adult leukemia patients and their families, the journey through illness can be physically, emotionally, and spiritually challenging. At the EPCALM Foundation, no one is expected to walk that journey alone. Every Friday evening, EPCALM-serviced patients, family members, volunteers, and supporters gather online for the EPCALM Family Church Bible Fellowship—a weekly time of worship, learning, encouragement, and prayer.
As one of the Foundation's flagship programs under its Spiritual Service Arm, the online fellowship offers participants an opportunity to deepen their relationship with God, while finding strength in a caring community of fellow believers. Whether someone is opening the Bible for the first time or has spent years studying Scripture, everyone is welcomed into this nurturing environment where faith is strengthened and lasting friendships are formed.
Unlike topical Bible studies, the Fellowship explores entire books of the Bible chapter by chapter. Guided by pastors, ministers, and lay leaders, participants engage in thoughtful discussions that foster a richer understanding of God's Word and its relevance to everyday life. The verse-by-verse approach encourages reflection, thoughtful questions, and meaningful conversations that help bring biblical truths to life.
A caring community. Beyond learning, the Fellowship is a community of care. Members freely share prayer requests, celebrate answered prayers, encourage one another through difficult seasons, and offer practical and emotional support. For many leukemia patients and their loved ones, this safe and compassionate space has become a source of comfort, hope, and spiritual renewal.
The diversity of experiences among participants enriches every discussion. Patients, caregivers, family members, and volunteers each bring unique perspectives that deepen the group's collective understanding of Scripture. Personal testimonies of faith, healing, perseverance, and God's faithfulness inspire others to trust Him more fully, even in the midst of uncertainty.
More than a weekly Bible study, the EPCALM Family Church reflects the Foundation's commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. It recognizes that while medical treatment addresses the body, spiritual nourishment strengthens the heart and soul. Through fellowship, prayer, and God's Word, participants are reminded that they are never alone—that there is hope, purpose, and a community that walks alongside them every step of the way. /MPD
