EPCALM partners with GetMEDS Philippines for better access to life-saving medications

The EPCALM Foundation has recently partnered with GetMEDS Philippines, Inc. to improve access to affordable, quality-assured oncology medications and related support systems.
GetMEDS is a healthcare service provider specializing in oncology services, and the supply of critical medicines for cancer and supportive care.
Under the joint Memorandum of Understanding, EPCALM and GetMEDS will collaborate to strengthen patient-centered support programs and medicine accessibility for EPCALM-serviced patients.
Delivering Hope Through Free
Medicines.
To date, about 30 adult leukemia patients have initially benefitted from life-saving medications from GetMEDS – fostering renewed hope for the patients in their journey toward full recovery from the blood disease. Most of the patient-beneficiaries are diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia.
On hand to welcome the patients and their relatives who personally received their chemo meds at the GetMEDS Office in Las Piñas City was no less than the GetMEDS Founder and Director, Naresh Kumar Bishnoi, and the men and women of the company.
It was an emotional moment as the patients took turns sharing their unique leukemia journeys. They expressed their gratitude to GetMEDS for its generous heart. The Staff observed that despite their medical condition, the patients always had a ready smile on their faces, and exhibited optimism and hope for better days ahead.
“Our goal is not just to provide free medications,” Bishnoi said. “We find more meaning and fulfillment in being part of their healing journey.”
The GetMEDS Team, on the other hand, said they did not merely hand out free meds; they delivered hope to each patient. They assured: “We are with them every step of the way in their fight.”
