Consistent with our strategic goal to collaborate with a diverse community of stakeholders to advance cancer care in the Philippines, the EPCALM Foundation recently participated in the Philippine National Cancer Care Summit (PNCS).
Held on 19-20 February 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila in Quezon City, the PNCS is a multi-sectoral platform that fosters dialogue and drives actionable strategies to address challenges in cancer care. Each year, the summit highlights innovations and builds partnerships aimed at improving outcomes for patients and their families.
This year’s theme, “Scaling Up What Matters Most: Person-Centered and Integrated Cancer Care for Every Filipino,” focused on ensuring that care is clinically effective, equitable, and accessible.
The EPCALM Foundation was represented by Social Workers, Sr. Minerva F. Jumawid and Shiela Mae O. Baliber, as well as Maria Cristina July Cruz, Advocacy and Public Awareness Program Director.
The Summit is where conversations evolve into collaboration, leading to real, measurable change for patients, survivors, and their loved ones.
Together, let us move from intention to action to ensure that every Filipino affected by cancer is seen, heard, and supported. (Sr. Minerva F. Jumawid)
