PATIENT JOURNALS Lessons Learned Series - No. 49

Christopher G. Biñas was a husband, father, provider, and hardworking Filipino who spent much of his life building a better future for his family. When he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) on 9 May 2026, he and his family faced yet another difficult chapter.
Yet Christopher's journey also showed the strength that can be found in family, faith, and the determination to keep going. His wife and children remained by his side, supporting him through the challenges of treatment and care.
Christopher passed away on 21 August 2026, but his journey leaves lessons that can encourage others facing leukemia. His life teaches us to value the people who stand beside us, to seek medical care and support when we need it, and to face each day with courage even when the road ahead is uncertain.
May his story inspire other leukemia patients and families to hold on to hope, draw strength from those who care for them, and remember that every day, every moment, and every expression of love matters.
