EPCALM signs MOA with UCCP-NCUC for Pastoral Care programs for patients

The EPCALM Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the United Church of Christ in the Philippines-National City United Church (UCCP-NCUC) over the weekend to help implement EPCALM’s Pastoral Care Ministry Programs under its Spiritual Care Services.
These include Home / Hospital Visitation; Pastoral Support and Counseling; Intercessory Prayers; and Support and Spiritual Guidance to Patient’s Family. Present during the agreement signing were the following:

For UCCP-NCUC – Reverend Pauline Mae Capacete, Administrative Pastor; Reverend Melvin Jacinto, Associate Pastor for Missions and Community Ministries; Emerson Benitez, Church Council Chair; and Elders from the Mission and Evangelical Team.
Representing EPCALM were Engr. Justice Demerre, President and CEO; Dr. Erlyn Cabanag-Demerre, Founder and Board Chair; and Mitch Duran, Executive Director.
Under the MOA, EPCALM will provide, among other programs, training seminars to UCCP-NCUC volunteers to equip them in understanding leukemia as a disease, the patient’s flow chart, managing grief, and other training modules, which may be deemed necessary for the efficient delivery of the Spiritual Care program of EPCALM.
