EPCALM patients receive free chemo drugs anew from GetMEDS

ree

The EPCALM Foundation has successfully facilitated another round of distribution of free oral chemotherapy medications for its serviced patients, in partnership with GetMEDS Philippines.

EPCALM recently signed a partnership agreement with GetMEDS to improve access to affordable, quality-assured oncology medications and related support systems.

The second wave of distribution in September 2025 extended vital treatment support to the EPCALM patients. GetMEDS is a healthcare service provider specializing in oncology services, and the supply of critical medicines for cancer and supportive care.

Those who received the free oral chemo drugs were Maribel Sibor, Edrelino Garcia, Norman Balitayo, Joanaliz Jaime, Annabelle Ravena, John Lerick Otazu, and Nerry Ann Aguilar.

Sustained support from partners, especially pharmaceutical companies, such as GetMEDS Philippines, significantly eases the burden of treatment costs for the patients’ families.

This initiative is part of EPCALM’s broader mission of providing holistic care for leukemia patients and their loved ones. (Sr. Minerva F. Jumawid)
