DSWD renews EPCALM's Registration, License; grants Public Solicitation Permit

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has renewed the Certificate of Registration and License to Operate of the EPCALM Foundation as an Auxiliary Social Welfare and Development Agency (SWDA).

Issued on 8 July 2026, the renewed Registration and License is valid for three years. The renewal affirms EPCALM's continued compliance with the standards prescribed by the DSWD for governance, financial accountability, program implementation, and the delivery of quality social welfare services.

It, likewise, reflects EPCALM’s unwavering commitment to serving adult leukemia patients and their families with integrity, compassion, and excellence.

Public Solicitation Permit. In another significant development, the DSWD also issued a Public Solicitation Permit to EPCALM on 14 July 2026, authorizing the Foundation to conduct fundraising activities and solicit donations from the public in support of the EPCALM Hope Fund. The permit is valid for one year.

The Public Solicitation Permit enables EPCALM to continue mobilizing resources that support its personalized, family-centered programs and services for adult leukemia patients. Through the Hope Fund, the Foundation provides practical assistance and comprehensive support that address the medical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families throughout their leukemia journey.

"These recognitions inspire us to continue serving with greater dedication and accountability. We thank the DSWD, our partners, donors, volunteers, and the entire EPCALM community for their continued trust and support," said Dr. Erlyn P. Cabanag-Demerre, EPCALM Founder and Board Chair.

Maintaining both a valid DSWD Registration and License to Operate, and a Public Solicitation Permit underscores EPCALM's commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance. These recognitions also strengthen public confidence and reinforce the Foundation's capacity to responsibly steward the generous support entrusted by donors, partners, and the community.

As EPCALM celebrates these important milestones, the Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to bring hope, healing, and compassionate care to adult leukemia patients and their families. Together with its partners, volunteers, and supporters, EPCALM will continue working to ensure that no adult facing leukemia has to journey alone. /MPD
